Tim Butterworth
Tim began playing the organ at the age of 4,
influenced by 'mum and dad' having a home organ and playng themsevles.
Showing a keen interest and ability, Tim started formal piano tuition from
the age of 6 and progressed through to Grade 8 level by the age of 15.
His interest in the organ stemmed from regular visits to Blackpool not only
to the infamous Tower Ballroom but to the Cliffs Hotel at Blackpool North shore,
where for many years, Tim travelled with his family to visit Peter Jebson,
who provided inspiration and guidance (and still does this day!).
Tim grew up in Gloucestershire performing his first organ society concert
aged 14 and has continued since then
to give regular concert performances on both Theatre and Electronic instruments.
His performances have taken him to all parts of the UK and to Europe.
Alongside this, Tim worked in various 'clubs & pubs' providing general musical
entertainment.
Until recently, Tim has balanced a professional 'day job' with his musical work.
However, in May 2006, Tim, together with his wife Sam, have relocted to Lytham-St-Annes, Lanacashire,
and Tim has now assumed music as his full time professional career.
